Keep trying because they're fabulous. My daughters bought me three for Christmas, from Mitre 10. They were expensive, but they're the biggest, lustiest things you'll see. They're probably four times the size they were. Madame Bovary, which you can't get anywhere else, has grown particularly well.
I tried to get more in February, but the shops had let them go and they really looked awful.
Good luck.

I have seen Delbard Roses in Kmart garden centres, they are supplies by Rankins Roses. They have a good selection. In Melbourne the one I find really good is the Kmart Garden Centre in Chadstone, next to Megamart cnr Warrigal and Waverley Rds.
Hope this is helpful
Cheers

Went down to Nar Nar Goon for their Garden Open Day this weekend past and despite the wind and the rain ... had a saunter through their rose fields. They had some of their 2005 new releases on show and sale ... Grand Nord in particular caught my eye .... lovely BIG version of Our Vanilla ... great for bridal bouquets.

They are also selling a whole range of standard Delbards this year ... I'm wondering how to fit in a row of standard Henri Matisses in my small front garden patch ... hmmm.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the talk by Andrew Simpson was informative and humorous. Did anyone else go visit?

I saw the Delbard exhibition at the Melbourne Flower and Garden show today. It was wonderful. I took some photos but it is not digital so I dont know how to post
them. There were some sensational roses there. The Delbard/Rankins exhibit had Chartreuse de Parme and the guy said I could order a bush through Kmart.
I think I will. All the other Delbards were breathtaking.
I bought a Best Friend-totally excited about it. The perfume is a knockout.
The show was wonderful if anyone is thinking of going. It will be hot and crowded but it was a treat.

For those who were blown away by "Red Intuition" .... I was informed by a Delbard's staff member that there's a strong possibility that it will be released for sale in the 2006 season ... hooray!!
