Candy Stripe sport

Hello all, I have discovered, to my delight, that my Candy Stripe rose has sported! One branch is a pale pink with a slighty frilly edge - not sure if it has much of a scent. This is the second year the sport has flowered. I wasnt sure when it first flowered as the new branch was only small - but it is definately a sport. Is this a common thing? Is it possible to register it? No big deal if I cant though. ciao.

RE: Candy Stripe sport

Hi Autumnleaf,
Candy Stripe herself is a sport from 'Pink Peace'.
I looked up Pink Peace on helpmefind and the pic showed a mid pink bloom.
Sounds as though you have got yourself a sport as yours is pale pink.
Pale pink and frilly sounds lovely.:)
You can certainly register it if this particular sport hasn't already occurred elsewhere.
Good luck.
regards
sandie
