| I'm considering giving Mme Driout a starring role in a new project but I'm getting nervous about using an unseen and untried rose... I already have her sitting here in a pot, but she hasn't flowered for me yet. If she's not going to be right I'll find her somewhere else - somewhere very nice - just not in a high pressure role. Hence my seeking Devoniensis on another thread... :)
How does she grow for you? Prolific flowering? Repeat? Continuous? Foliage? What is the colour really like? Will I get away with underplanting her with a collection of Ophelia and her sports? Thanks,

| Hi Amanda, I have Mme Driout and love her. She has very subdued colouring and is a refined lady. The pic below was taken of one of her first blooms and she has more petals per bloom now.Mine is still only young-a year old-but she blooms steadily and grows well too. I have her on an arch at the front with Ophelia in front of her-so she will go well with those colours. The stripes are only on the petal tops-the backs are a lovely rosey pink. regards sandie  |
