Help with pruning Nahema - Delbard climbing rose

I have vague memories of a discussion thread where modern climbers were described as being like large shrubs when it came to pruning. Just got Nahema this year - wonderful perfume, lots of pretty soft pink flowers. Because of my windy site, I'm wondering how to prune it so that it stays more compact, and if this will compromise the flowering. Does anyone have experience of it or thoughts about what will work?
Thanks for your help,
Helen |
