rugosa hybrids

| I am sick to death of these. I planted 10 bushes, 3 years ago, 2 each of 5 different rugosas. They rarely flower, ball in the wet (not that there's been much of that), flowers hang on when brown and yucky, lots of dieoff on the canes. In short, a great disappointment. They get regular tank water, Sudden Impact every 6 weeks in the growing season ie August to March and are in full sun, in good soil. Help, please! |

| Looks like they don't like your climate. Personally I would pull them out and try some other types, tough floribundas or H.T.'s. You seem to be doing everything right. You could try not to water them so often, think about how they grow in the old cemetaries, they are hardly touched but flower for 30-40 years. |
