When will new roses come

| I have been doing some thinking lately and sorting out the most heat resistant roses and THEN my Henry, with the deep tap root, who I might add is very hard to get to travel, has decided that we will go to England in May, June.
Now my problem is, when do the New Roses come on line.
and will I still get some good ones after June.

I read somewhere that we shouldn't buy the first lot of roses to appear - something about them being too young or something - I can't remember but it might explain why some die. On the other hand they tell us to plant as soon as the ground is cool enough in the subtropics so they are established before the ground heats up.
I'd been interested to hear any opinions on that. England in June - lucky girl. Love to see those gardens. My son goes over end of March but he is not into taking photos of gardens! |

| Hi Marion Some of the online nurseries will either have their 2006 roses up already or will be doing it shortly.
Keep an eye on the nurseries that you are interested in buying from.
You can order any time and may be able to arrange for delivery either before or after your trip.
What a delightful partner-to take you on a trip to England-
you will have to tell us all about it when you return.

You could try asking the nurseries if you can order but specify a delivery date after you get home. You may have to pay with the order so they will keep the roses for you.

| Actually Marion I ordered mine in person when I was down in Victoria in May they asked me when I wanted them posted up as they knew we would not be home for a while..I did pay a 10% deposit though and then when I was ready I let them know and paid the remainder and they came the last day in June and I could have had them later if I wanted them. So do as Sandie and Judy said and ask you should have no trouble getting them when you want.....Cheers..MM. |

| Thank you for the information, now I will have to hurry and make my final decisions and then order. Never bought anything from nurseries before so this will be my learning experience, won't it ??
