| As I am a novice rose grower, and could do with a bit of advice, I have joined the Vic Rose Society. I went to their meeting last night, and it was lovely to listen to other people talking and especially to see what everyone else is growing. [At 26 I was the youngest in the room by about 2 decades, but everyone was very welcoming.]
Is anyone else a member? Or go to their meetings? |

| Hello koiwabiru, I was at the meeting last Tuedays night. I only pop into this site occassionally now and mostly I just lurk here. I am glad you had a nice time and I hope we will see you at more meetings. I am incharge of the kitchen at the RSV meetings. Also if you noticed someone lying down on the couch at the back of the hall during Cedric's talk that was me. I don't quite have the 2 decades on you but I do suffer from chronic fatigue and the meeting finishes well past my usual bedtime for a school night, so the couch is very welcome. I love going to the meetings and I enjoy working in the kitchen. You can learn all sorts of stuff about gardening and roses at the meetings and it is great to talk to so many rose lovers. I am trying to keep up with work and also my rose related activities. The Greater Melbourne group of Heritage Roses meeting is on tonight at the Horticulture Cenre & Community Garden hall, Jolimont Rd Forest Hill, 7.30pm. Now thats another great group. Vivienne |
