| I read Parade was the perfect pillar rose and put it on my wish list. I haven't seen it grown though and am wondering what any of you think of it.
I swoon at the sight of a pink rose and this one is supposed to be fragrant with cupshaped blooms that nod over with the weight of petals. Sounds like my sort of rose but is it? |

| Parade is a cute rose that can be grown on a pillar. I saw it in a pot, so I can't judge. But I bet that we'd have the ultimate pillar rose if some rose breeder decides to name one of his/her big shrubs 'The Perfect Pillar Rose'. That would be a sure bestseller! - Tom |

| Cute doesn't quite do it for me Tom! Lucious and generous perhaps ! I had a look at the pink roses on Just Our Roses, a link someone here provided, and decided nothing compares with the old hybrid musks, Cornelia and Felicia - and Fritz Nobis is another beauty. I haven't tried to grow them yet - am I doomed to failure if I do? One question though - does Parade have a small bloom? |

| Fritz Nobis is a once-flowerer in case you didn't know. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Fritz Nobis

| Perfection Lozza. I would wait all year for it to flower and then spend all my time in front of it ! I have done that with Celsiana. I planted it in full shade and the shrub was a poor spindly thing but the first thing I did every morning on waking was go out to drink in its beauty. Drought eventually killed it and I haven't replaced it yet. I thought Belle Storey might have a similar effect on me although I haven't seen it grown either and I believe it takes some looking after. Would you know? Thanks for the beautiful pic. |
