We've had two and a half inches here since Monday and the garden dam is now FULL!! What a great way to start the spring. I hope others who have been looking for rain have got what they needed.

It's great news Ann - the best sight in the world is a full dam! Ours is also full, the brook is bubbling merrily and the bottom paddocks are water-logged. All the rainwater tanks are full to the brim - we've had a 'normal' winter this year even though the dams which feed the Perth metro area are still way under capacity at least they're higher than they were last year and we've got another week of rain coming up. Hope your rainfall continues in bucketloads. Barb

Good news for us too on the Gold Coast. It's been raining on and off for about 18 hours now. Not heavy, but good soaking rain for the garden, Yipee!

We have had a fairly good winter so far but much more is needed to make up for previous poor years. Q

Whats your yard like now Sandie? After all this recent October rain mine is like a swamp - yes - clay soil in our area as well. It was good to have the upstairs tap turned off today for the Cup tho' Cathy
