Garden pond

Thanks to all those who sent advice for my fight against algae. Robert_NSW, do you mean barley straw? Have asked around and barley grass doesn't seem to be available. Have tried barley (as a grain). Think the problem might be the dam water I used to fill the pond. Have since drained it and refilled with rainwater. Have two fish and plants and have bought a pond fountain to keep the water aerated. Thanks again.

Hi Babs, if that doesn't work for you, you can always go one better and add a simple filtration box/tub and a UV steriliser and it will help keep your pond nice and clean and clear.

Here is a link that might be useful: Clearpond
