Funnel Webs under the House?

| I would be very grateful if any one knows if funnel webs are likely to nest under my house as we have to crawl under there to do a termite inspection. We live in the Sydney sandstone area and have a leafy garden.
The house is on 3ft brick piers and and is brick to the ground all the way around the perimeter. The man access is via a door and the house has ventitlation holes that insects can fly through. Under the house is dry. What precautions do I take before I venture forth?
Thanks for the comments.

Hi Rose, I take it that you are not in the Eastern Suburbs (no funnel webs in coogee - the backpackers drown them all in beer at the Coogee Bay Hotel). My suggestion is to make friends with them (funnel webs on the North Shore OR backpackers in the Eastern Suburbs). So work out which are the bigger pest and move to the glorious desert of Coogee (no trees but no funnel webs either). Do you want to come over for a drink and check things out? Keep on planting, big kisses, Beach |

| The only thing I can think of is to rip up the floorboards, this will give you clear access to under the house without having to crawl. Or better still get someone else to do it . |
