Yellowing leaves - Flanders Poppy

Can you tell me what is the cause of the yellowing of a few of the top strong leaves on my flanders poppies. Just recent and they're about to flower.

Carol-This happens to mine too! Maybe our soil retains too much moisture for them. We have just had the first decent rain in Sydney for months and the Flanders Poppies look a lot worse for it. I always grow them, however, despite this tendency - the combination of blue forget-me-nots and red poppies is wonderful! Usually the poppies are fine for a few weeks then just as they begin to flower spectacularly the yellow leaves begin.Grrr!
