| where did my post go? it's gone! very strange. thanks for the people who replied, your explanations sound very reasonable, one thing i find odd though is that i have several plants on my balcony outside my room that also sit in water and they do not have this problem with white stuff, which is why i thought it was an airborne disease cos only the indoor plants have it. i also thought it was odd that only recently the white stuff has spread to the plants' leaves a bit, and only recently the water has become filmy oily looking on top. however your watering advice is noted thanks (although this will be difficult for me considering my history with plants, underwatering and death, wish me luck!). i'll give that a go and hopefully it'll get better.. in the mean time, if anyone has experienced something similar on their indoor plants please let me know! thanks for your help and interest. |
