Bangolow Palm diseased or lacking ?

two of these palms have deteriorated over a period of months. Symptoms are, yellowing trunk and fronds. Fronds yellow then start to die from the tips. The whole of the palm seems to keep going but slowly and is obviously not a happy healthy palm.Diseased or lacking care ? They are in the middle of a row 8 and the ones nearby seem to be OK. Any clues will be gratefully accepted.

Hi SV, If you can, check the butts of each tree, and check for ants, they tunnel inside the butt and when you water them the fungi gets a go on inside and rots them off at the butt. If you find ants, they may be discouraged with Ant Fix, or similar product. To try to stop the fungal infection you could try Fongarid mixture to drench the base of the trees. Only use fertiliser in the growing season, just a little. Hope this may help. Good luck. Peter r
