| Do you have a female dog who urinates on the grass? or one who visits for the purpose? The concentrated urine, especially from unspayed female dogs, will kill grass in patches unless you're quick with some water to dilute it. You could also have lawn grubs, in which case there are treatments available at any garden centre and many supermarkets. Dogs like to eat those grubs, BTW! Also you could try aerating the lawn. You can hire equipment for the job, but if you don't mind a bit of hard yakka, walk along in straight lines back and fork, poking in the tines of your garden fork as frequently as you can manage, and lifting the sod slightly. |
