Brown curling leaves on office plant

| Can anyone suggest any reason for our lovely plant (I think its a peace lily) going brown at the tips of the leaves? The browning starts at the tips & then graduates up the leaf till it curls up?
Im watering it about twice a week & it gets good filtered sunlight (but not enough to burn the leaves).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

| Hi Sue1969, try to cut back on the water a bit, its good to be damp once a week, but not waterlogged for days at a time.To much TLC will kill, if that makes sense?????Good luck. Peter r |

| Try not using the water straight from the taps. I'm sure I read somewhere that it is the chlorine in tap water which does damage. |

| Do you have air conditioning ? I'm pretty sure that the air con, whether heating or cooling, will dessicate the air to the detriment of plant life. Its a bit like floor boards, the air con will dry and shrink them. As with floor boards, the only solution that allows you to keep the air con is to leave some bowls of water in the office (near the plants) to maintain humidity levels. Anyway, gotta go, Uncle Remiggio is digging up the ferns again. The idiot thinks they're cabbages for some reason. |
