I have a few orchids but at the moment they all have what I can only discribe as black sopt. Is this a problem for the plants ? Is it something I'm doing wrong that has caused this and is there a remedie. I have taken off the leaves that were the worst marked but I fear I will end up with no leaves at all at this rate.

Hi Kym,
You could try spraying a mixture of equal parts water and milk on the foliage. A lot of people use this on roses and seem to have success.
When you water your plants, try doing it early in the day, so that they are dry before nighfalll. Try not to have them too close together so that there is plenty of air circulation.
Cheers,
Dee.
