Lifecycle of green shield bug and eradication

What is the best method of preventing this bug from invading my vege patch - other than squashing them as they appear.? If somebody knows the lifecycle perhaps I can prevent them before the next season. Palomina Prasina or
Acrosternum hilare according to Wickepedia - but no info on lifecycle or eradication. |
