White Aphids??

Posted by Battlady WA Aust (My Page) on

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what I have on some of my plants in hanging baskets. They look like small white fluffly aphids they are only on the underside of the leaves. At the moment the plants don't look like they are suffering, but should I try to get rid of them before they do become a problem???

Thanks

Sorry-I'm not sure what they are...Woolly aphids are normally on the stems... Dab the backs of the leaves that are infected with a ball of cotton wool with some metho on it or use an old toothbrush with a dash of metho and see if this helps...I would certainly try to control or remove them..

They're root aphids and are often found on certain plants in pots (daisies, weeds) Try a soil drench of insecticide. (malathion, disyston - read the label carefully)
