Caterpillars eating my Cannas

Hi all, this is my first post! Hi everyone!
I have green caterpillars eating my Cannas. I've done a lot of research in Google and they might be Leaf Rollers. I don't see them rolling leaves up though - but they are small and green and eat lots. I've tried picking them off but there too many. I've tried cutting the entire canna stem off and putting them in the bin but now my Cannas are looking bare and the caterpillars are attacking what's left!
I have tried using pesticide spray but it's hard to spray under the leaves.
What I would like to know is, are there any plants I can grow around the Cannas to get rid of these caterpillars? I read somewhere that ladybeetles attack green caterpillars. Is that true? If so, what can I plant to attrack ladybeetles? Are there any other animals I can attract to kill of the green caterpillars? |

| Hi and Welcome Yes there is..... plant lots of native flowering trees, they will bring the birds who will in turn eat the caterpillars. Your Canna will come up again next season. If you cannot get rid of the caterpillars without chemical sprays pull them up and plants the rhizomes in pots for now. |
