Pumpkin mildew

Posted by Leyland WA Australia (My Page) on

I have had to cut off 75% of the foliage because of a greyish powdery mildew on them. If I leave them they go rotton. The flowers seem to be OK but some of the fruits have gone yellow and dropped. What can I spray them with ??

RE: Pumpkin mildew

g'day andy,

there is a recipe for using milk on my remedies page, you might also look to how/when you water ie.,. water only in the mornings and water only around the ground and the root system not over the foliage, also look to the drainage of the garden if the soil is poorly drained you may need to improve it for future crops.

the bit where the fruit goes yellow and drops off could be more related to unsuccessful pollination.
