| I have some hydrangeas with powdery mildew.
I have Triforine, which is described on the container as ok for PM on roses.
Will it not work on hydrangeas, or is it dangerous or what? |

Hi Vincent, my pest and disease book also states that Triforine can be used on roses for powdery mildrew as well as Wettable sulphur When I look up what to use for the Hydrangeas it only states a Wettable sulphur at the rate of 2-4g a litre of water as soon as you notice it, and goes on to say Do not use sulphur in hot weather or if plants are short of water. Hope this helps.....MM. |

| using milk is another way for powdery mildew. i found with my zucchini's and pumpkins now that they get full on sun, pleanty of air movement in the shape of breezes/wind, and are well drained soil i almost don't see p/m untill the zuce's are nearly finished then i get a bit but by then the plant isn't in it's prime so would be open to bug attack. anyway there's a recipe for the milk thingy on me remedies page (probably the best use for shop bought milk). len mail len lens garden page |
