| g'day bh, the best way i know is to go out early in the morning before they get too much sun to warm them up they get too fast then, and catch and kill them. len |

| Our local ABC gardening 'Guru' Tom Wyatt advises use treacle in a spray with water if you wish to avoid chemicals. It seems grasshoppers don't like the 'stickyness'on the leaves etc. HTH teddy,J |

| Len's a man after my own heart. Can't stomach chopping up the big ones, but I score lots of littles in the morning, take a bit of hot water in a bucket, just wander round, touch the plants, those tiddlers that hop off on the ground get trodden, the others go in the bucket. The water and the deadies get recycled. |
