What is happening to this plant hibiscis and how can I help it? It's being eaten by something

looks like grasshoppers or caterpillars. Find the culprit and either rip its head off or squash it, or get some poisonous chemical and spray it. Remember the animal has to eat the plant to die if you do use the chemical so you will still have holes in the leaves. The leaves will be replaced by new ones and the caterpillars will only be around for a short while so you could just do nothing. If it is grasshoppers they will lay eggs in your soil and each year there will be more in your garden.
