| This is the first time I have tried growing Tamatoes. There are hundreds of fruits but I can not pick any because there little green flies which seems like stabbing the young fruits and laying eggs in it or may be sucking the sap out. The green tamatoes have brown spots and the ripe ones looks like to be rotten. Inside the ripe ones is rotten though it is quite firm outside. There is no smell. There is no sign of any maggots inside. Please help me to control these flies. Is there a pesticide that I can use. |

You need to identify this pest before deciding on how to elimiante it. The green colour suggests that it is not fruit fly. Could it be aphids? Do they stay on the tomatoes when disturbed or do they all fly off? As a first assault you could try spraying with a pyrethrum based spray. |
