indoor ficus

| I have a ficus that is indoors in quite a large pot. I have had it for about two years, and it has been going really well - until I moved house. My Dad, bless him, transported all my plants in an open trailer. Many of them lost their leaves. The ficus only lost about half of its leaves, and pretty soon it started growing new ones. I thought all was well, but then all of the old leaves turned yellow and dropped off. To add insult to injury, now the new leaves are turning yellow and dropping off - and I am beginning to worry that it is not going to recover at all. Is there any hope at all? |

| I have one in a large pot too Hetty and they are great plants. Couple of suggestions - don't overwater them - you may have given it more water than usual when you saw the leaf drop. Otherwise have a look at its position. I've put mine outside the front door on the verandah and it's really thriving there. I virtually ignore it - haven't fertilised at all and only give it the occasional spash of water. Is it in a warm enough position? Good luck! |

| I've heard that a sudden change in conditions will make them sulk and drop all their leaves - apparently they will eventually grow them back though! |
