Best time to sow Hollyhock seeds

Posted by colofaus NSW Mid North Coast (My Page) on

G'day all, has anyone got some advice on when to sow Hollyhock seeds in my area? I'm in Macksville and have humid summers but do usually have the sea breeze to keep the temp down to a bearable level and we are just far enough up the Nambucca River to get the odd frost in the dead of winter (usually only light). I get a bit confused by the literature because of our "in-between" area and have just got hold of some "heirloom" variety seeds so want to get it right. I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks

RE: Best time to sow Hollyhock seeds

I live in a temperate climate area where we get high temperatures in Feb.
Would it be alright to plant some HollyHock seed in containers under shade cloth in Pegola. Thanks Doug.
