Dragon tree

I have a hot garden area on the west side of my house.
Could I plant some dragon trees in that area with day lilies in front of them?

| I guess you mean Dracaena draco, the Dragon's Blood tree. These are very hardy plants but extremely slow growing. They tend to grow as a single trunk for several years before beginning to branch out. The day lilies will take any amount of sun and heat - the more the better. |
