Has anyone grown Hostas from seed? Do they need special treatment, should they be sown fresh or can they be kept. We saved some pods but I didn't put them in this spring, can I do it now?

| I grew some from seed this year, but because I moved and my patio is taking so long to get built, and we had a 43 one day, I'm not sure if the poor things are still alive as they have to be in too much sun, so I have just planted some more. |
