Clivea Flowers

Hello! My clivea flowers don't open. They stay as tubular bells instead of opening out as I see in photos. Is this just the type of clivea that they are, or is something wrong with them? THey are growing in dry shade under eucalypts, but they have had cow manure, but not a huge amount.Any suggestions?

Sounds like the species/variety. I have that one too, but don't know the name.

There is nothing wrong with the clivia ,it is the common one around Perth called clivia cythanthiflora a cross between clivia miniata and clivia nobilis.
The clivia minata has the trumpet shaped flowers in orange shades or yellow.
They will do ok under the eucalypts , if using cow manure keep away from the crown ,I feed mine thrive and seasol week about .
