stunted hippeastrums?

I bought 4 bulbs from Kmart 2 pink miladys and 2 white weddings they have all flowered fairly quickly within 3 weeks of planting but flowers are only about 10cms from the ground. Did I plant them too late in the season?

Yes its a little late for most, though I sometimes get the odd spike through to autumn. Be grateful for a small show, feed them up while they are in growing season and you will be rewarded much more next year.

Lovely!!! Thats good news. They were pretty cheap. What do I feed them with just a soluble fertilizer?
