any suggestions?

| When I moved I stuck my cannas in the garden bed in front of the house. I have also put a lot of Daylilies in closer to the front. The bed does not get sun till afternoon even in summer as it's at the south side of the 'L' and faces west, and gets the sea breezes. Any suggestions as to what I could put in with them? I have just dug out some winter Iris and have 3 huge gaps. I could move some of them to the back where there is a sunny bed along the fence. But what could I replace them with? I do not want shrubs that would provide cover but the windows are not at ground level. |

Has anyone heard of a Morrocan Daisy. Is it a form of Aster or Argeranthemum? MPPI |

| Hi Annabel, what about pinks, salvia or that new dark blue/purple agapanthus? They should all do well with only afternoon sun and should cope with the sea "breeze" :) |

| Thanks Maryanne, I ended up moving a rose which can take shade because where it was was too shaded from a pelargonium, once a cutting! I'll see how it goes there. I think I may need a shrub or two further out. When the native section grows there will be a bit more of a windbreak. Since the posting, the Pokers have come out well. I do have aggies grown from seed last year so will see if they come on and they can go in. |
