I have recently moved house and the new one has several gardenias planted in what I conider inappropriate places. I want to move them but am unsure of the right time to do so. Any suggestions?

RE: Gardenias - when to move?

Gardenia should be moved in the late Winter.
But I move what I want, when I want, if you can dig it up with a big root ball
and do it late in the afternoon or on a cool day especially if rain is expected
Trim about 1/4 to 1/3 off to compensate for root loss you will lose next seasons flowers.
Though I dont see why it wont survive the move. Good luck what ever you do.. Cheers.....MM.

Thanks MM - I moved them about three days after my posting and they seem to be coping so far. RoI
