Can this plant be propagated by cuttings? I have them currently flowering and I'm not sure if they're an annual ... or perennial? Thanks in advance,

Let the flower heads die on the plant and they will produce masses of seeds, which will scatter themselves throughout the garden. You can collect seed too.
Next year you will have more plants than you could possibly want, and will get an interesting range of colours.
Cheers, Jan
