Sick Boronias

My two Boronias were just starting to come into flower. Overnight the blooms became wizzened and crumbled. I can't imagine what happened to them. I have been told you can't keep Boronias and cats. It hasn't been a problem before. Any ideas?

Boronias have a reputation for just keeling over and dying, even in WA.

Yes I have to agree, as the ones I grew in Melbourne did just that also.

I have always heard that they are very touchy & are best kept in the pot you bought it in enjoy it while it lives as they dont seem to like any root disturbance

Re the sick Boronias - although the flowers didn't really bloom, the bushes don't appear to be dead. I think I'll just leave them in the ground and see what they do. I won't plant any more of them though - I can take a hint.

Well the brown Boronia turned up its toes today. The yellow one is still holding its own.
