| Had to wait for the bus and decided to pop into the hydroponics shop which I could have done often enough before. There was a bottom heat seedraiser, single or double which I would have bought had I known and saved losing all those seeds, and a large bag of vermiculite! Now, do I have a mad rush around spending before I leave or not? |

| Ha! Do what I do, get them to 'hold' the products for you, when you have more time to go back and pick it up. Most people will do this, esspecially if they know you are going to pay cash for them and are more likely to come back again and again! I have twenty bags of wood chips on 'hold' until tonight when I've got the ute to pick them up. |

| In the end I did not have time. The house money was not banked till after 4pm and we had to be out by early afternoon the next day. I did see a hydroponics place here so will check it out later when the family come with a car. I can always ring and ask. I can get bulk potting mix so will get that as soon as I get the carport reasonably clear. |

Annabel one of my little old lady friends was worried about going into a hydro shop in case someone saw her and thought she was growing other types of plants that are associated with hydroponics. She asked me to go in and pick up some vermiculite for her.Mind you the bag was almost as tall as she was.Even I was amazed at what they stock.I am like you why didn't I look there before |

I buy jiffy pots from New gippsland seed farm. I generally buy 200 or so at a time. It was pointed out to me recently, that so do the marijuana growers. I grow all my iris seedlings in them, and I expect a knock on the door from the jiffy pot and hydroponics police at any time:-) "May I check your 'iris' seedlings please Ma'am?" LOL - Jan |

| I think there is a hydroponics shop here but need a car. I see that I can get one by mail order from one of the seed companies I use so considering. But if I am lucky with my seeds this year, I may not need it. Ha Ha, who am I kidding! There's always cuttings and hard to raise seeds! |

I know a young bloke who is into organic foods so he turned his back verandah into an enclosed hydroponic garden complete with tomatoes lettuce etc.It came as no surprise one night when there was a knock on the door.He opened it to find two officers wanting to investigate his hydro set up .They found nothing illegal and left with some of his produce in a shopping bag.Apparently they noted his number plate at the local hydro shop and also had info from the electricity provider that he had a high electricity usage. Of course not everyone who grows hydro is doing something illegal. |

| Have had really good giggles at the answers! Maybe it's just as well I did not go in and maybe I'll think twice now in case I get a visit to my soon-to-be-erected carport! |
