I brought some of my Hellebores with me and was not expecting any flowers this year even tho' one had flowered. But as I came back with the dog today there was this gorgeous, almost white flower spike coming into bloom!! Last time it flowered June/July, but it is colder here and it's in a sunless spot in winter.

It's great isn't it Annabel, like finding a daffodil flowering that you had forgotten existed. Every year I delight in seeing my Cerinthe Major come up. A finicky plant that I just happened to plant in the exact right spot that it loves. Me and finicky don't usually go together, so it gives me a real kick to see them multipling by self seed.
