plant identification please

| Hi
I wonder if anyone can help identify this plant - its a bit of a Topsy - it just grew.
I cut it back about six months ago and it has regrown to about one metre high. It's not woody so I hope this is the proper forum

| Looks like tobacco bush (Solanum mauritianum) to me. |

| I agree - tobacco bush - grows wild around here, comes up everywhere and nothing eats it eg cattle, horses, goats. |

| thanks lomatia and goldhills after getting the name from you both I did a google and found out it is really a nasty piece of plant and an ex-plant at that. It got the chop this morning - - apparently it is highly poisonous and can cause respiratory problems. thanks again |

| Paradisi, I had one come up in the garden in Melbourne and it got a bit if size to it. Cut it down and it resprouted so gave it a dab with straight RU. Sorted it out pretty quick! |
