| Last year I had Cyclamens blooming from June onwards. It ha been wetter this year and must be colder as they are later. But while I lost corms, and so far the seeds did not do well, although I have not given them up, the white one is magnificent. :-))))))It has been covered in blooms for weeks, and the coloured ones planted with it in a large wide planter are now coming into flower. It sits on the back, east facing patio on wheels for turning. |

| cyclamen are lovely aren't they! I've just treated myself to a new one this morning white with the cyclamen pink rim. I have a white that's quite new and a pinky purple one from last year that's absolutely churning out the blooms. Seems to love the charlie carp! |

| do you think they would grow up here Annabel?? I'm near Rockingham and have never thought of growing them as I felt it would be too hot in summer. What do you think? Tina |

They sell them by the hundred there!! Seriously, I germinated my first lot two years ago in Kwinana and brought them with me in tubes. I kept them in the dark for germination and almost all germinated. I got loads of seed last year, but so far few plants. Could be all sorts of things-wrong time, too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry!!! The one plant I bought is blooming non stop. I lost a lot of corms to disease, but have about 5 left. A friend in Murdoch had a cyclamen she was given, left it in a long planter outside on the verandah with plenty sun all year and it just kept getting bigger. Mine- not the ones from seed which I dried out etc- was also left in its pot. Go for it!! I got my seed from New Gippsland Seeds and Bulbs in Victoria and have just ordered more as I had a credit note to use. |
