Soil preparation & where to plant hydrangeas

Posted by danann NSW Aust (My Page) on

I have struck some hydrangeas from cuttings and am now wondering where to put them in my garden. Any suggestions for soil preparation and spots in the garden that hydrangeas like?

RE: Soil preparation & where to plant hydrangeas

The best I have seen have been on south facing walls or fences, both in Albany and across the street, getting only late afternoon sun. They like a bit extra moisture so don't mind a damp spot. Check the soil Ph to determine the colour.
