I got a great book from the library and have picked out about 40 plants I'd like, any suggestions on the best nursery for perennials in the Northern Suburbs or any good mail order outlets?
I'd appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

About 6 weeks ago, I was at Werribee Park and was impressed with the penstemon colour and height. In the Kmart nursery small tubes were about $3 however I found similar in Safeway for $1(also hidcote lavender). I did try some seed penstemon (300) to a packet so maybe that is the way to go. A suggestion of candy tuft was offered to give one of my garden beds some continuity. I'm going to give it a try with my $2 packet offering 300 seeds (packets of white or mixed pink). (Yes I did have to purchase some seed raising mix...oh well I'm an optimist.)
Good luck. Why not post a request in the plant exchange forum.
Good luck Shirley

There lots of good nurseries in the northern suburbs. Check Sat's West. Norgates is prob the best speciallist perennial nursery for mail orders. Their plants are field plants. Di's Delidhtful plants is another whish has natives and Lavenders as well.

Thanks for your replies. Norgates do have some that I am after and will check out Di's
I feel a bit guilty using the garden exchange as I don't have much to swap!!
