Name this plant.....

It is a plant that is used around Sydney Olympic Park as mass planting. It is a thin leafed, reedy, clumping type of plant that has a soft long type of flower (similar in shape to a bottlebrush) at the end of some leaves when in flower. It is in flower now. The flowers are a tan type of colour.
I would like to plant some at the side of my house along the path once I find out the name and how big it grows etc. It looks really soft and looks easy to maintain.
Bye the way, its not Lomandra or Agapanthus.

It could be the grass Pennisetum alopecuroides. There has been debate as to whether it is a true Australian native.

Thanks TonyfromOz, it looks like that is the plant.
Further investigation has found that it is declared a weed in some areas. I wonder why it was planted so profusely around Sydney Olympic Park then?
