Advice on blooming times, please?

Hello everyone,
We have decided to get married (about time!!) and I would like to do the flowers myself. What can I plant that will be flowering in the second or third week of September? And can anyone tell me which bulbs will be flowering then? Or alternatively, advice on how to postpone flowering would also be helpful. Thanks. |

| Hi PL, if you must have plenty of blooms just have your wedding at the Carnival of Flowers in Toowoomba Sept 20, but book now as accomadation is usually booked out well in advance. Just the most flowers, the best colour, get married in the Rose Garden, or the Perfumed Garden, Japanese Gardens or a Private garden which are available. That is the best way to go, I think. Plenty of Colour, plenty of cameras, plenty of atmoshere, plenty of people around, Just a thought? Good luck. Peter r |

| Some of the later flowering daffodils, ranunculus, anenomes should be flowering in September, though you'll have to get them in ASAP. There should be quite a few annuals as well. It might be a good idea to speak to a nursery in your area because flowering times will depend on how cold your winter is. Good luck! |

| Thanks for that, I am considering planting about a million seedlings and bulbs and seeing what's there on the day!!! Peter, I will be getting married at carnival time, i planted all my seedlings when the council planted theirs, aiming for that time. (I am in Toowoomba). Hopefully it will all work out!! Thanks again. |
