Cheers Annette

Hi I see we share a Birth date. I like Salvia too I only have three, so I am not a Salvia Freak I have blue, white, and a red that comes up every spring from the seeds that dropped the autumn before. You have so many I seen your list just curious do you have a dark blue or a purple one....Cheers..MM.

Hello mm,

I dont know anyone who shares the same birthdate what a coincidence, first time for everything I guess:)

Yes I have several blue salvias, The peru blue, salvia uglinosa, salvia pseudo neutans and the guaranticas to name a few. They are the most gorgeous blues.

the best purple I have are the Black Knight, Purple Majesty and the Costa rica blue (dark purple)

I also have white, yellow, pink, orange, red and two toned ones.

A real little rainbow of colours.

Cheers Annette

Hi I did now know that they had so many colours .
Your garden would be a rainbow when they are all flowering.

Hello annette68,

I would love some seeds from your Salvias if that is possible, I have recently brought an old house and I'm trying to create a cottage garden. I have one Salvia which is a purple.

Regards

Kylie

RE: salvias

I'm a bit late to this salvia discussion, I have a long border in my garden (just west of Tweed Heads, NSW)devoted to salvias. I bought about 30 odd from Sue Templeton back in June and they are all thriving despite being subject to the hot afternoon sun. Kylie, if you are in Victoria you could try Sue for some, she's regarded as the salvia guru of Aus. and i think would have the biggest collection in the country. She's at Albury, might be worth a try.

I'm on a hunt for Salvia Patens Guanajuato, which is the truest blue flower I think I've ever seen. Could anyone advise me where I could get hold of them in Australia? Ta.
