Is OK to grow cala lilies now?

After the Summer the yellow and pink cala lilies died off. I watered some plants near the area. When I digged up to check on the Cala lilies roots, they were rotting away. So I pulled every up and clean and dried them. Now they ahve little buds ready to grow. I just wonder if it's Ok to grow them now in Sydney? My white and green Cala lilites are growing so well now as the weather has cooled with cold nights. The white and green ones are always good in Spring, Autumn and Winter if they get enough Sun.

I remember that the right time is end of Winter/early Spring when the pink, red and yellow cala lilies show up at the spot where they die the previous summer. Is this the wrong time to grow these colours?

Now the next thing I want advice is the seeds of Pink Cala lilies. I got a fruit from one plant. It gave me about 50 plumb looking seeds. I just wonder if this is the time to try to grow them.

I'd think it would be ok if you make sure they are well drained. My coloured Cala's have finished with the leaves starting to die off. I have now planted them out into a half shaded area of the garden. One pot that didn't seem to come on (I thought it had pegged it) is a very late grower with thick fat shoots just starting. I've put them into free draining soil to match the potting soil and have left them to grow on naturally. Keep them protected from slugs/snails and I think they should be fine.
I to have seeds from one of the pinks and am going to do a google search to ascertain planting times. Just as an aside the stumpy and blue tongue lizards that live around home absolutely ADORE the seeds of my old white lillies. I'll repost if I find something helpful.
Cheers Mrs B

My white cala lilies are beautiful. They do not seem to need good soil, just good climate. The soil I have is normal but the vigor is incredible. They start to flower now with thick white flowers.

My other colours of cala lilies have died back. I think they only grow in Spring. Some of them even grow just a little now but that probably would not last.
