Serapias lingua (Tongue Orchid)

I have recently obtained a bulb of this orchid, but there were no planting instructions. Does anyone know what type of potting medium they like and what depth to plant?

KerryQN, I really wouldn't pot it. It would much prefer to be mounted.

Pam, I think you have been fooled by the name tongue orchid.

Serapias lingua has nothing to do with our native tongue orchid, Dockrillia linguiformis, aka Dendrobium linguiforme. It's a Mediterranean terrestrial orchid, with tubers.
