Feijoas in Tasmania?

Posted by boobookhill Tas Aust (My Page) on

Does anybody know of a supply of feijoas in Tasmania? I would like to get hold some more this year to supplement the ones I get from a few known sources where some of the fruit just goes to waste, if I don't pick it up.
I get the pulp out of the fruit and blend it with sugar at a pulp/sugar ratio of 2:1, then deep freeze it in plastic yoghurt containers ready to make a delicious dessert any time out of season.

Have you tried 'Bob Magnus's Apple and Fruit-tree' place? He might have feijoas - he would know where you could get them if he doesn't.

Here is a link that might be useful: Bob Magnus's Fruit Tree list
