Penstomen & Hard Water

| Has anyone ever had difficulties growing Penstomens in hard water - the water is a little salty, but has quite a bit of calcium in it. They were going OK until I we had some really hot weather and they have really turned up there toes and look very sick. At the bottom of the plant it looks like it is re-growing, so I'm not sure if it did dry out or it is our bore water.
I'm not sure wether to lift them and put them in pots till the end of summer. |

| It's probably the heat as well. If it's regrowing, it's alive, and you could just cut it back and give it some TLC, and a mulch of some kind. |
