Anyone outside the tropics successful with Heliconias?

| I mean in more temperate regions? Ive got a few here in kalgoorlie Im trying in pots for now and until they are bigger, and will keep them protected for their 1st winter. |

Hi, we are growing and flowering quite a few heliconias in Sydney. They include rostrata, Red Christmas, Yellow Christmas, pendula, subulata, papsiana, stricta Jamaican Dwarf and bihai. There are more growing here that should start flowering soon. Helen |

| Hi Helen Do they naturally die back or do frosts hit them? You must be in a good microclimate? Im trying mine in the outback, in Kalgoorlie!! |
