Magnolia 'Little Gem' & Gordonia

Has anybody grown either of these two plants. I am tossing up which to plant but know very little about either one. Woould appreciate any comments.

I grow Lil gem but im in Texas ..so I dont think that will help

Hi GH. I dont grow one but one of our members grows the Gordonia.
As I remember pics of it on the Oz Gallery now my book says they flower in April
and I searched back and could not find it.

Have you thought of growing the Port Wine Magnolia they grow well here my neighbour has two.
Have a look at the link below a bit of info about Little Gem they seem to grow here Ok.

I am looking for something with a white flower that can be a tall shrub/small tree.
